A review of Pennsylvania court records identified 27 criminal complaints and non-traffic citations filed between November 2 and November 8, 2026, in two magisterial district courts serving the Upper Merion Area.

ABOUT THIS REPORT
Upper Merion Area Spotlight reviews criminal complaints (CR) and non-traffic citations (NT) filed in these two courts. Traffic citations, civil complaints and landlord-tenant cases are intentionally excluded.
The figures reflect the records reviewed for this report, not the total number of cases filed in either court. Cases are included according to their filing dates, which may differ from the dates of the alleged offenses.

NOTABLE FINDINGS
Retail theft was among the most frequently identified offenses, appearing in seven filings: four criminal complaints and three summary citations.
Pennsylvania State Police Gaming Enforcement was responsible for four filings, including two criminal complaints and two non-traffic citations.
Bridgeport Borough municipal code enforcement accounted for eight non-traffic citations involving alleged rubbish accumulation and rental property inspection violations.
The 27 filings do not represent 27 separate incidents or 27 different defendants. Multiple citations can arise from the same incident, and individuals may appear in more than one docket.
UPCOMING COURT PROCEEDINGS
Preliminary hearings in the criminal cases are scheduled throughout November and December.
A preliminary hearing determines whether sufficient evidence exists for criminal charges to proceed to the Court of Common Pleas. It is not a trial or a determination of guilt.
I will continue monitoring court filings and developments in cases of public interest.
All charges and citations described in this report are allegations. The individuals and businesses involved are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Information is based on publicly available Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System docket records reviewed November 8, 2026.
