The MLK Day of Service Series: Daily Ways to Give Back
Family Book Club: Learn Together, Grow Together
Hosting a family book club is a meaningful way to honor Dr. King’s legacy. Choose books that explore themes of equality, justice, and kindness to spark important conversations with kids of all ages. Stories like “Martin’s Big Words” or “I Am Martin Luther King, Jr.” help children connect with Dr. King’s message in an age-appropriate way. Sharing these stories as a family builds empathy, understanding, and a commitment to creating a better future.
PennDOT Launches $22.4 Million Sinkhole Remediation Project on U.S. 202 in Upper Merion Township
PennDOT will begin a $22.4 million sinkhole remediation project on Route 29 (Morehall Road) in East Whiteland Township and U.S. 202 (DeKalb Pike) between Saulin Boulevard and Henderson Road in Upper Merion Township, starting Monday, January 13. The project involves injecting grout beneath the pavement to stabilize the road and prevent future sinkholes. Drivers should expect weekday lane closures, traffic shifts, and full northbound and southbound closures on U.S. 202 in mid-February. Temporary traffic signals will maintain one lane of traffic on Route 29 during the work. The project is fully funded by federal dollars and aims to address ongoing sinkhole issues in both areas.
