Montgomery County residents have an opportunity to help shape the future of bicycling and micromobility throughout the county.
The Montgomery County Planning Commission has launched Bike Montco 1.5, an update to the county's on-road bicycle plan originally adopted in 2018. The update will consider the growing use of e-bikes, e-scooters, and other micromobility devices while identifying and prioritizing connections along low-traffic-stress streets to improve bicycle accessibility and safety.
County officials are encouraging anyone who currently rides—or is interested in riding—a bicycle, e-bike, e-scooter, or similar device to complete the public survey. Feedback collected through the survey will help guide future bicycle infrastructure planning across Montgomery County.
Residents can learn more about the project and complete the survey by visiting the Engage Montco project page:
Whether you're a daily cyclist, an occasional recreational rider, or simply interested in improving transportation options throughout the county, the Planning Commission is encouraging public participation.
