Good morning, neighbors. šŸ‘‹

Here are a few local things I thought were worth sharing this morning.

šŸ¤ Looking to Connect With Your Community?

I recently launched Community Chat, a new space where Spotlight readers can connect, find their people, join a local club, ask questions, share recommendations and talk about life around the Upper Merion Area.

More than 50 locals have already joined, and they’re currently helping decide which channels should be added first.

I’m opening it gradually as we get things rolling. If you’d like to be among the first Spotlight readers inside, come join us!

The practice provides preventive, restorative, cosmetic, and emergency dental care for patients of all ages. Their patient-first approach combines advanced technology with compassionate care to create a welcoming, comfortable, and convenient experience for every visit.

Crownline Dental accepts most PPO insurance plans and offers evening and Saturday appointments, making it easier for busy families and working professionals to fit dental care into their schedules.

Whether you're looking for a new family dentist or simply exploring your local healthcare options, Crownline Dental looks forward to welcoming you and your family to their practice.

šŸ—ļø Data Center Proposal Receives Recommendation for Denial

The Upper Merion Township Planning Commission voted to recommend that the Board of Supervisors deny the proposed hyperscale data center development on Swedeland Road. The recommendation is advisory only, with the Board of Supervisors expected to make the final decision following public meetings on August 12 and August 13.

In a related update, Upper Merion Tax Collector Evelyn Ankers announced that the property's 2025 delinquent school taxes were paid in full the day after the Planning Commission's vote. The payment totaled $854,666.59. Ankers said she shared the update "in the interest of fairness to the taxpayer" after informing the Planning Commission that the taxes remained unpaid during its July 22 meeting. She also noted that 2026 school taxes have not yet been paid, though they are not yet considered formally delinquent.

🚲 County Seeks Input on Updated Bicycle Plan

The Montgomery County Planning Commission is asking residents to help shape the future of bicycling and micromobility throughout the county. The newly launched Bike Montco 1.5 survey will help guide updates to the county's bicycle plan, including priorities for low-stress bike routes and accommodations for e-bikes, e-scooters, and other micromobility devices. Residents can share their feedback by completing the survey on the Engage Montco website.

🚧 Traffic Pattern Changes Coming to The Village at Valley Forge

Drivers visiting The Village at Valley Forge should expect temporary traffic changes beginning today, July 27 as a seal coating and line striping project gets underway. The work is expected to continue through August 20, weather permitting. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane through much of the project, with alternating one-way traffic to maintain access. While delays are possible, all businesses and delivery access will remain open throughout the project.

šŸ› Superior Play Systems Coming to King of Prussia

SUPERIOR PLAY SYSTEMS has announced it will soon open a showroom in King of Prussia, featuring premium swing sets, basketball hoops, trampolines, open play, and birthday parties. According to the company, the King of Prussia location will serve as its temporary home while it rebuilds its Norristown showroom following a devastating fire earlier this month.

The exterior sign is already up, and work is underway inside the new space. A grand opening date has not yet been announced. |šŸ“400 Feheley Drive | King of Prussia
