Here are some things happening around Upper Merion that caught my attention this morning.

🛝 Open Playground Brings MTC Families Together at Heuser Park

Families with children entering Pre-K through 4th grade are invited to an Open Playground meetup at Heuser Park tomorrow, Wednesday, July 29, from 9–11 a.m. Hosted by MTC, the casual gathering gives children a chance to play while parents connect with other families before the new school year begins. Registration is requested in advance, and popsicles will be available for attendees.

🦁 Penn State Alumni Night at Eagleville Taphouse

Penn State alumni and fans are invited to gather at Eagleville Taphouse on Friday, July 31st, at 7:30 p.m. for an evening of live music, Penn State spirit, and community. The event features Velveeta, a fan-favorite band from State College, and encourages guests to wear their blue and white while reconnecting with fellow Nittany Lions.

🎾 Walker Field Tennis Court Project Approved

The Upper Merion Board of Supervisors recently approved the minutes from its June 11 meeting, making public new details about the long-discussed Walker Field Tennis Court Project. The project includes six new tennis courts and parking improvements, with additional environmental testing still expected before construction can begin.

👮 National Night Out Returns to Upper Merion This October

The Upper Merion Township Police Department is inviting the community to its annual National Night Out on Monday, October 6, from 5–8 p.m. The free event will be held behind the Upper Merion Township Building and offers residents an opportunity to meet local police officers, learn about public safety, and connect with fellow community members. All are welcome to attend.
