Following growing community pushbackāincluding Upper Merionās rejection of five proposed data center sitesāGovernor Josh Shapiro has signed an executive order removing data centers from Pennsylvaniaās Fast Track permitting program. UMASD will hold a virtual stakeholder presentation tonight to discuss how the district uses federal Title IāIV funding ā including the impact of the current freeze on Title II, III and IV allocations.
Stakeholders will also have an opportunity to ask questions and offer input before the district submits its 2026ā27 grant applications.
