I found a few things happening around town that are worth knowing about.
💡In The Spotlight
🏘️ KOP Housing Market Remains Active  Colors indicate relative popularity. | The local market continues to show steady activity. There are currently 332 active buyers generating nearly 1,800 buyer interactions, while 36 new listings came on the market at an average price of $631.8K. Meanwhile, 64 homes sold for an average of $483.3K. What it likely means: Buyers are still active, and homes continue to sell at a healthy pace. Listing prices remain well above the average sale price, suggesting many buyers are still finding room to negotiate or are purchasing homes at more moderate price points. 🎆 Fireworks Have a New Date
If you were disappointed the July 4th fireworks were canceled because of the weather, there's now a new date to mark on your calendar. Upper Merion Township has rescheduled the fireworks for Saturday, October 3, during the Community Fair & Fall Fest. More event details will be shared by the township as the date gets closer.
🍕 Costco Food Court Closing for Renovations
If a Costco hot dog, pizza, or sundae is part of your shopping routine, here's a heads-up. A notice posted at the King of Prussia Costco says the food court will be closed for renovations from Sunday, July 19, through Saturday, September 26. While I'll definitely miss grabbing a $9 pizza on the nights I don't feel like cooking, I'm looking forward to seeing what the renovated food court looks like.
