Upper Merion Township is inviting residents to help shape the future of Heuser Park as work begins on the park’s Phase II Master Site Plan.
The township will hold its first public meeting on Monday, Sept. 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Freedom Hall at the Upper Merion Township Building, 175 W. Valley Forge Road in King of Prussia.
The meeting will focus on the proposed expansion of Heuser Park and give residents an opportunity to review existing conditions, share ideas and take part in an interactive brainstorming session about what they would like to see included in the next phase of the park.
Upper Merion has engaged Simone & Collins Landscape Architecture to assist with preparation of the Phase II Master Site Plan.
Among the questions the township is asking residents to consider are what they currently enjoy about local parks and what new features or improvements they would like to see at Heuser Park.
The Sept. 21 session is the first of four planned public meetings. Additional meetings are scheduled for:
Nov. 9, 2026 at 7 p.m.
March 1, 2027 at 7 p.m.
June 7, 2027 at 7 p.m.
A public survey will also open Sept. 21, giving residents another way to provide feedback as the planning process moves forward.

The township says the goal of the process is to develop a long-term vision for the park expansion with community input incorporated along the way.
