Not only will I not “lose” them in my embarassingly large inbox…..other folks can see them as well. I feel an Upper Merion Area Yearbook in the near future 👀

Last week I shared my kooky idea of creating a group (PICTURE PERFECT UM) for area residents to share all of the amazing photos and videos they take. They can be just about anything (that’s appropriate 😋). So, I thought I’d take my favorite one and make it the thumbnail picture for each week’s issue.
Shout out to area resident Alisa for sharing so many great pictures from the BOOPORT parade last Saturday. This one was my favorite. I am very bias towards amazing chalk art 🤣!

SPOTLIGHT EVENTS 💡
🎃 The Upper Merion Area is packed with fall fun this week! Kick things off Friday night at the Hocus Pocus Bash at Nor-View Farm—an evening of music, food, and Halloween spirit with free entry. Then come back Saturday for the Fall Fun Festival (the final one), filled with food trucks, inflatables, games, and autumn activities for all ages. Over at UMDGC, Fall-Tumn-Ween’s Festivities bring slime labs, crafts, scavenger hunts, and more. There’s also Halloween on the River at Puddler’s Kitchen and Tap with costume contests and pumpkin judging, plus the Spooktacular Halloween Cabaret, presented by Upper Merion Performing Arts, for a hauntingly good performance. 🍁 Get out, have fun, and celebrate local this weekend!

Our Choice: Tommy’s Tavern + Tap
If you like your nachos piled high and your atmosphere lively, new KOP restaurant Tommy’s Tavern + Tap is your spot. My wife and I chose Tommy’s for date night last week and enjoyed the experience. There were TVs everywhere, good vibes, and fair prices. The BBQ pork nachos were the star of the show, followed closely by crispy fish and chips and a hearty steak salad. Portions are generous, service was solid, and it’s a perfect meet-up place for catching a game with friends. If you’re after a quieter dinner, go earlier….. otherwise, come ready for food, fun, and plenty of cheers.
